IDM Polar Explorer

With a focus on pad drilling locations which multiple wellheads, a key feature of the Polar Explorer is its ability to skid up to 100 feet forward or backward from the intial well location over producing wellheads. This capability eliminates the need for mulitple rig moves in cold climates where time and space are critical issues. During the skidding operation, the Polar Explorer's power, control, steam water, and air lines with festoon cabling alongside the mud system.
